Greti Pilscheur

Having given birth to two children in a birthing centre - luckily we got a place via the waiting list - I know what an opportunity it is to have this chance. I enthusiastically supported the founding of the House for birth and health and now, as part of the organisational management The more motivated the midwives are to realise their work and concept idea. With a degree in gender studies under my belt and a lot of work in the fields of social change, critical whiteness, accessibility and much more, I can also identify very well with the desire to offer a low-threshold programme with the aim of addressing and involving all people. Living and realising this is a welcome challenge. Whether this actually succeeds should always be scrutinised from the outside and by people who are not part of the dominant society.
In my position, I try to coordinate all the tasks that are important for a smooth process and enable the mission statement to be put into practice. And to achieve the desired visibility for out-of-hospital obstetrics and low-threshold access in public relations work.
