What is a placenta?
Every family and every baby born in our clinic receives a beautiful and personalised placenta print to take home with them.

What is a placenta?
The placenta is also known as the placenta. You look a bit like a cross between a tree and a liver. You come in many variations and shapes, each unique and special. (Twins, for example, have either a common placenta or two separate placentas).
You are about the size of a teller when the baby is born at term. You feed and care for the baby in your belly. Nothing works without you. No life without you! You are a miracle! An organ that nourishes, filters and „breathes“ throughout the pregnancy. You should be honoured and appreciated.
At our birth centre, it is a tradition that you are given the placenta and its beautiful imprint to take home with you. Each family can then decide for themselves what to do with it.
