Osteopathy consultation at the House for Birth and Health
Miriam Niebuhr, alternative practitioner and M.Sc. osteopath, aims to help patients with their complaints. This is often a combination of osteopathic treatment, getting to know one's own body and strengthening self-efficacy through exercises, for example. Sometimes it is a referral to colleagues in medicine, physiotherapy or acupuncture.
Osteopathy fascinates her because it attempts to be a holistic therapy in which examination and treatment are mainly carried out with the hands. The concept of osteopathy is based on the anatomy of the human body with all its structures and their functions, which cannot be considered individually, but only as a unit.
She specialises in osteopathic treatment during pregnancy, after birth and for newborns and infants.
To expand her knowledge of pregnancy, birth and newborns, she studied midwifery for three semesters. The knowledge from both professions can be combined very well to provide comprehensive support to families.
Miriam greatly appreciates the interdisciplinary collaboration with the Haus für Geburt und Gesundheit and is delighted to be part of such an empowering team!

What you should bring with you:
You are welcome to bring your own towel.
If you are pregnant or have just given birth, please bring your maternity record with you.
Babies are welcome to bring their yellow examination booklet to our appointment.
Solidarity-financed consultation hour:
Osteopathic treatment is partially reimbursed by some statutory health insurance companies. Please inform check in advance under which criteria your health insurance company will contribute to the costs.
Miriam's 5-year degree programme (including 2844 attendance hours) means that she meets the required minimum attendance time of 1350 hours.
According to the principle pay it forward you are welcome to pay a higher amount and thus make participation possible for others who cannot afford the costs.
Recommendation children: 70 - 80 € / h
Recommendation adults: 90 - 100 € / h
