Practical instructors - further training:
Intervision in practice guidance
PRACTICAL GUIDANCE IN THE BIRTHING CENTRE AND FOR FREELANCE MIDWIVES
GOALS
- Expand your own expertise as a practical instructor in the field of non-clinical work
- Deepen the joy of organising the task and role as a practical instructor
- use the experience of learning together in the seminar group to expand their own competences
A wide range of skills and experience flow into the care and support of pregnant women and their families around the birth.
In the non-clinical field with its focus on physiology, this is particularly important - and must be organised differently in the birth centre than when accompanying home births. Conveying all of this in the practical instruction is of great value and at the same time challenging for the practical instructor.
Among other things, we will work with the didactic model of theme-centred interaction (TCI) as a useful compass for designing lively learning and collegial counselling and try it out on our own case studies.
Concretely experienced instruction situations of the participants are the basis for recognising even more clearly in exchange and with recourse to TCI and other learning models,
- what makes for successful learning situations,
- how to deal with difficult situations,
- how potential hurdles can be avoided as far as possible through foresighted planning.
The combination of case discussions, theoretical knowledge and reflection with colleagues enables a change of perspective and the chance to encounter ourselves again and again. Creative and creative methods allow us to explore what motivates us and possibly also hinders us from giving the expectant midwives what we want to give them in full joy and strength. No more and no less.
The training corresponds to 16 teaching units for further training in vocational education (12 hours, 6 hours per day). A continuation is possible and can be planned with the seminar group.
