In addition to professional training, our team undergoes further training every year on the topics of racism and racism in obstetrics, as well as organisational development that is critical of racism. Due to the relevance of the topic, we have developed a definition of racism that applies to us, which we are happy to share here:
„Racism is an instrument of discrimination used by the dominant society on the basis of external characteristics for the purpose of maintaining power structures.
The decisive factor for the evaluation of experiences of racism is the perspective of the person affected, regardless of the intention of the person reproducing racism.“
