The association „Neues Geburtshaus für Hamburg e.V.“ was founded in summer 2020 after a one-year planning phase. It stands for active, self-determined obstetrics and the right of every pregnant person to freely choose their place of birth. The association's work focuses on promoting out-of-hospital birthing facilities in the form of birthing centres for pregnant women and their families in any constellation. Here, children can be born in an undisturbed and loving atmosphere.

The „House for Birth and Health, Midwives Brown & Partners“ was the first major project to open in February 2022. The health centre for girls, women and partners is integrated into the birth centre and is currently being expanded. Here you will find Offers on the topics of sexuality and reproductive health from puberty to menopause. The main focus is on educational work on natural family planning, pregnancy / birth / postpartum and educational work for nurseries and schools. In the meantime, the Psychological consultation in the House for Birth and Health, the Midwife consultation in westend open.med and a new addition is the Osteopathy consultation Since 2025, financing options are currently being sought for the very popular Open parent-child get-together wanted. The association also facilitates birth centre births.

Every donation goes without deduction towards the construction of the health centre and the remaining equipment of the birth centre. In addition, donations are used to finance events such as themed evenings, courses, workshops, further training and counselling on birth, women's health, sexuality and related topics. These events are intended for pregnant women, their families, interested parties and also specialist staff and students.
